DID YOU KNOW THIS ABOUT CHILD TRAFFICKING?

Trafficking in children is a global problem affecting large numbers of children. Some estimates have as many as 1.2 million children being trafficked every year. There is a demand for trafficked children as cheap labour or for sexual exploitation. Children and their families are often unaware of the dangers of trafficking, believing that better employment and lives, lie in other countries.
Child trafficking is lucrative and linked with criminal activity and corruption. It is often hidden and hard to address. Trafficking always violates the child’s right to grow up in a family environment. In addition, children who have been trafficked face a range of dangers, including violence and sexual abuse. Trafficked children are even arrested and detained as illegal aliens.

May i ask the question?What have you as an individual done to curb this in your own little way?Have you been silent and ignored the plight of the up and coming generation because you think it doesn't have a direct effect on you?

    I did not know the figures were that staggering .The world has really turned a blind eye on things.I think the media needs to highlight more on such issues and stop highlighting on trival matters.

    Im in total agreeance on this matter, not long ago I watched a movie about Human trafficing! MY HEART bled for the ones past, present and future! Yes we can all do something about the future to open up each one of our eyes to help STOP or bring the culprits to justice. There needs to be more awarness and what ppl must look for...I look forward to seeing more of your blog Charles.! PEACE to the CHILDREN

    TRAFFICKIN of young children is one of the most severe violations of human rights in todays world. Charles you are doing a unbelievable TREK to raise much needed AWARENESS for the smuggling of children, which the go on to be sold as commodities, and those souls that are trafficked within there own counties.. WHICH IN FACT IN VIOLATES THE HUMAN RIGHTS GUARANTEED TO THE CHILDREN UNDER THE INTERNATIONAL LAW.
    This trek is yet another amazing attempt to raise this to those not knowing, and those ignorant to what is happeing in our world...

    Lord God, I pray for Charles as he flys to Sierra Leone, I pray for the blood of Jesus to be covering Charles..That you will keep him in good health, that he will be able to show by an unselfish act to the governments in these countries the voilent acts committed against your children will not go unnoticed and that something will be done to protect these innocent children.     Our Heavenly Father, the day is fast approaching and only hours away until Charles starts his walk. I pray that You surround Charles with your angels, keep him protected by weather, animals and bad people. So that he might make this pilgrimag with no incident. Please open the eyes up of the officials in each country that Charles walks through to these hideous crimes committed against the innocent children. Lord you say that our tongue is like a sharp sword when we speak your word outloud, dont let Charles forget that he may speak out loud through out this walk.
